Our Toddler, Intermediate & Kindergarten Programs
Read-A-Long programs are planned around weekly themes and are varied and flexible to meet each child’s needs. We provide indoor and outdoor play, music, French, crafts, dramatic play, stories, and learning circles! Our programs are planned to encourage socialization and participation, as well as independence. From 12 months to 6 years, early literacy and numeracy are incorporated into the daily programs.
This program is designed for children ages 12 months to 30 months and provides a nurturing, safe and secure environment. The Read-A-Long philosophy begins here with theme-related flash cards, used daily, pre-printing skills, and circle time with stories and games. Daily reports are sent home with each child to help parents and caregivers learn about their child’s day. Progress reports are sent out two times per year.
This program is for children 30 months to 4 years old. Pre-reading and writing skills are incorporated into the program. Flash cards and worksheets are used daily to reinforce the weekly themes. The intermediate program runs on a routine in which children are being academically stimulated in a fun learning environment. Progress reports are sent out two times per year.
Both junior and senior Kindergarten programs are offered. This class is run by a fully qualified teacher with a registered E.C.E. The aim of the Kindergarten program is to foster independent thinking and a general love of learning. All children will gain reading readiness and reading skills. Language, math and science concepts are easily acquired through a fun, hands-on approach. Parental support and involvement are imperative for optimal advancement. Progress reports are sent out three times per year.
